Fuel Forward: Propelling Transportation with Natural Gas

Is Natural Gas the Fuel of the Future?

Heavy-duty trucks and buses running on natural gas reduce GHG emissions by an estimated 15 to 25 per cent, as compared to diesel trucks and buses.

Alicia Milner, President, Canadian Natural Gas Vehicles, Karen Hamberg, Director, Sustainability and Environmental Performance, Westport Innovations, and Russell Davies, Manager, Transit Fleet, Calgary Transit are confirmed for the Transportation panel.

Fuel Forward: Propelling Transportation with Natural Gas will introduce and showcase new innovations and examine how natural gas can be moved forward as a marketable alternative to other fuel options.

Transportation Policy Roundtable

The Van Horne Institute and the School of Public Policy  at the University of Calgary will be hosting a strategic roundtable that will bring together thought leaders and experts from industry, government and academia to discuss a white paper on  transportation policy.  This roundtable will develop and discuss innovative and practical solutions that will lead to a re-think and re-design of the CTA to become national, inclusive and comprehensive.
